Snowman
Written by: Jason Miller, Tim Smith, and Eric Hilbert
I'm crying all the time
Crying all the time
I can't even smile in the park
At the prettiest mime
It was a lovely winter
Snowflakes were everywhere
But spring is here, the sun is high
And warmth is in the air
I'm melting away
Melting away
Melting, melting away
I'm crying all the time
Crying all the time
Diminishing, puddling
As the temperature climbs
Melting away
Melting away
I'm melting, melting away
Snowman, snowman, snowman, snowman
I'm crying all the time
Crying all the time
I can't even smile in the park
At the prettiest mime
Melting away
Melting away
Melting, melting away
Melting away
Melting away
Melting, melting away
Songfacts: This recording is an homage to the original recording of Snowman done in 1992 with Jason Miller, Tim Smith, and me in Tim's basement. Jason had come up with the organ riff, Tim sang the Snowman first verse and chorus, and I came up with the guitar part. It was a very strange song that went over 30 minutes of improvisation. A lot of this is done from memory, and I've put some new things in.
