Unhuman
In the dead of night I go outside
And find the star that guides me
To a place within. I see your face
That's blurred and glows with fire
Summoned up again your body
Glows bare, I feel hot desire
Pain mixed up with joy, we join
Surrounded by encircled hands.
Unhuman, unhuman
Writhing, lost in pleasure,
Echoed screams, I am awake in terror
In my rigid state I can't
Resist your touch or break this spell
Unhuman, unhuman, unhuman, unhuman
Wrinkled hands now hold me down
But I still feel your body pressing
Tight and smooth. Your hand reveals
The knife that plunges in my heart
Unhuman, unhuman, unhuman
Unhuman hold upon me
Unhuman hold upon me
Unhuman hold upon me
Unhuman hold upon me
Songfacts: This song started with a violin bow. I got one and tried making sounds on my electric guitar with it. I finally did using full compression, heavy echo, the gain turned all the way up, and the volume of the amp extremely high. This was the loudest recording I've made so far, and I'm sure the neighbors loved it. I made a loop with the orchestral sounds playing as a backdrop to the noise I was getting from the guitar/violin bow. I also experimented with a "shepherd tone" in parts of the song: constantly rising notes from the symphony.
I wrote the lyrics trying to follow the pulsing, monosyllabic beat of the music. Being under pressure and out of control were the general themes, but it ends on a happy note at least.
